I also like the romanticized version of baseball. A guy can grind his way through the minors for 5 years and then get called in September and have that ‘every dog has its day moment. That happens in baseball and it is great.

In the nfl it’s like, ‘Wow, how did u get here to score your first nfl td?’ *’uh, I went to Alabama’

I mean, nothing's 100 percent. It's foolish to think there isn't anyone out there that's capable of competing with the best in the majors but just hasn't been found or discovered. Hell, some of them possibly by choice.

But on average most people who are good enough to make it to the major leagues would wipe the floor with anyone who couldn't.

That's actually true for any major sport.

Shit I got 3 Dominican’s in my neighborhood alone that is better than the entire Dodgers infield right now.
You might have a point. Seager's gone, Muncy's elbow is fucked, Trea Turner was nonexistent in the playoffs, and Rojo Turner was great but is now vegan and weak.

What about your white savior Gavin Lux
He showed some life with his hitting vs SF in the NLDS, enough that Roberts put him in CF to get his bat in the lineup in the NLCS. That...didn't go well. But with Seager gone and Trea moving back to SS, the 2b job is his to lose. I mean, Taylor's listed as the 2b on the depth chart, but he will almost certainly move around as usual when Pollock and Old Man Turner get hurt again.
