Still highly recommend Cobra Kai.

Rob Garrison (Tommy from Karate Kid) just passed away, and feels like a life imitating art moment.

I am all about this. Cobra Kai was totally misunderstood in Karate Kid.

Cobra kai is good that you see both sides, and it's not pushing only one karateka and his master as the good guys.

Cobra Kai was the Marine Corps of karate in that movie. Much like Slyterin is the Marine Corps of the wizarding world. Misunderstood and under appreciated.

And for the record, Daniel did deserve an ass beating if you ask me.

Saw Joker last night.

If you've seen Taxi Driver, then you've seen Joker.

Yes that motif/reference shows up a few times.

I know some of the reviews think the Joker movie is pretty shallow or doesn't really say anything, but I feel like there are some ideas that can be explored.

I went to the theater last night to see the Host and they were doing patdowns and bag checks for Joker opening night. I'll get to it soon, a couple bad reviews won't kill my hype, but I'd be happy with more taxi driver.

I saw it yesterday afternoon. Went in blind, hadn’t read any reviews. Thought it was really good. Tapped into all of the disgust vs kinda got a point vibes that the best villains have. Really hope they carry this through to Robert Pattinson’s Batman movie.

My friends keep making me wait, I think i'm going to see it thursday. Trying my best to go in truly blind but obviously not entirely possible at this point lmao. But I still am optimistic.

Joker > Justice League at the box office with it's take.

It's the highest grossing rated R movie as well, beating out Deadpool 2 and it's also the better movie. It's got some depth to it, but not as deep as some would try to talk about it. Still good movie about mental illness, nature vs nurture and how society builds up it's own villains.

Also, Blumhouse just remade Black Christmas, which I feel was remade not that long ago (early 00's?) except much lamer with "nods" in terms of kills to both the original and remake. Except by the end of the trailer I think they showed how much shittier it is by giving away their twist, which looks like the killers is a fraternity vs just one assailant you never see (original), or the one generic slasher villain (remake). I'm guessing it's the woke version of the movie, since it looks like strong women taking on a dominant male entity that has their way with the fairer sex.

Disney Plus is well worth it. Especially for those who love vintage entertainment.

I have Amazon Prime and HBO through Amazon too. Also have Netflix access through family.

I love my HBO subscription and wouldn’t give it up for anything. Amazon has other perks. Don’t actually pay for Netflix, so Disney plus isn’t really on my radar. Although I would love the chance to watch the Mandalorian and Rebels.

I have an Amazon Prime account, so it includes their streaming service. I like many others have access to Netflix through family and with Disney+, it's been great.

I'm looking forward to Disney putting out more of their Fox property, or bringing the Hulu, ESPN+ package to Canada.

I'll look at HBO Max when that comes out because of all the integration that will come with it, and Warner owns the rights to most of the TGIF shows like Mr Cooper, Family Matters ect.
