Oh I see this Big10 and SEC bias here, you're all lucky that playoff 4 wont last beyond this week.

So I just wanted to share this real quick... TCU came to Stillwater last week, and Jalen Reagor was crazy impressive to me.

First of all, the guy was moving at a different speed than everyone else on the field. I think he’s quicker than fast (he showed off some crazy agility in the game after the catch) but the thing is, he’s got a powerful build and I think he’s pretty freaking fast in a straight line too.

But there is a lesson apparent in his game that we as sofa scouts should of learned from past guys. You know how even tho Tyreke Hill is small, his wheels also transition into crazy hops and he’s low key a fantastic jump ball guy? And how Stephon Diggs is low key up there as a top 5 contested catch guy in the league even though he’s not big? Reagor is an animal at the catch point. Not only does he have good hops, but he’s a freaking acrobat! He was doing crazy amounts of laying out, and that body control translated to boxing out bigger cornerbacks.

Now, I have no idea of if his fantastic agility translated to route running since it’s pretty hard to gauge that from sitting on the goaline in the stands. He also clearly had some effort problems, plus he has pretty bad concentration drop on an underneath route design for YAC. But still, he really made an impression on me and I’ll be following him closely.

(Just a note if your a big mock draft reader, Reagor has consistently been a first round player for PFF [although their overvaluing of WRs is at this point legendary... hey PFF why does Cleveland suck so much if an elite WR is exceptionally more valuable than an elite OT PFF: well Alex it’s actually cuz Odell&Landry aren’t playing like elite players. Me: You don’t think they aren’t playing like elite players because the OL whiffing isn’t ruining their opportunity to be elite before it ever gets close? Gahhhh] but yeah other than PFF, Reagor hasn’t been a consensus round 1 guy on like any other site I have seen. I still maintain that until the season is over and the full process can really start that’s mostly due to Helmet decal inertia. That’s also why Chubba isn’t the consensus #1 RB at the point...long note).

Also since I mentioned Chubba...

A Gary Patterson defense had never given up 200 yards to anyone. Derrick Henry only ever played 1 rush defense that ranked higher than the Horn Frogs did before last week’s game. Chubba is going to easily hit the 2000 yard mark at this point.

reminder to myself that my ribs are in the oven at 11:40. penn state/minnesota will be the first non-sec game that i actually sit down and watch a full game of, this year. and ive actually been itching to start my draft studies lately, so im kinda hoping that today is the kick in the ass i need to dive past watching somebody not named chase young.

Well, one of them has NFL Network TV, and the other doesn't, so it made for a long hanging fruit.

im so old and out of the loop and exhausted from work that i dont even check the tv schedules on the weird channels anymore. i just get home from work, and put on abc or fox til 3:30, and then switch to cbs at 3:30 til nap time wins out.

I still have a habit of checking the TV schedules weekly from doing the old pick sheets. I'm nothing if not a creature of habit.
